A re-run from a few years ago. I really like this 1973 issue of Youth Technology. The issue was dedicated to Soviet past and future in space. It has some great illustration of what they had done and what they hoped to do.

This is also one of my favorite picture books, very hard to find, so I would like to share the full book with you. And Blast Off!

Igorek Controls the Lunokhod (1973)

 

This may be the second edition of a story book I blogged about on July 29, 2016 "Igorek on the Moon" (1962)

They both are arranged in verse about helping a child dream of exploring the Moon. They seem very similar even with the different title both in style and because they are by the same author (as best as I can figure out). The style of art is very interesting so I hope you enjoy this.

Space Station '80 (1973)

August is still Space Station month!  Space Station '80 shows a number of proposed space station ideas with the plan these would happen by 1980.
