The Young Adventurer's Pocket Book of Space Travel (1954)

Another illustration intensive book. This one is only 3" tall and 2 " wide so you might have missed it :) . It was a premium with Mickey Mouse Weekly magazine. Evidently the magazine came with some pages that you could fold up into a tiny book. The others I have found evidence of were YA Pocket Book of: The Air, The Land, The Sea, Animals, and Wonder Quiz Book. It has very colorful images and I am happy to share some with you from TYAPB of Space Travel.

The Young Adventurer’s Pocket Book of Space Travel (pamphlet accompanying Mickey Mouse Weekly). Illustrated by Lacey, Bill. London: Odhams Press (32 p.) 1954.

One, Two (1965)

The next few posts are some of my favorite picture books. The 1st from 1965 is a very basic counting book about spaceflight. I hope that you find it as charming as I do.

DeCaprio, Annie and David Krieger. Illustrated by Nydorf, Seymour. One, Two. New York: Wonder Books. (24 p.) 1965.

Exploring Space (Hebrew) (1960)

The Hebrew version of Exploring Space. If you notice it opens right to left. So you will see a few pages where the Hebrew version "switches" sides. Because this is such a charming book I have loaded the whole thing. As an additional treat I own some of the original illustration for the book and have added those to the pages.

I blogged about this book (1958 English copy) back in 2015
