Planet of Remus (1984)

Planet of Remus is a 1984 Russian/Estonian  comic book story. It is a little out of my usual scope but it concerns a child who draws a space adventure in comic form.  He was inspired by the date April 12 when the first Russian went into orbit. I really enjoy the style of the illustrations so I wanted to share with you today.

  1. I hope all is well. You haven't published anything new since March and I think I'm starting my withdrawal phase! If you've decided to stop work on the blog then I want to thank you for sharing this amazing collection of books and other ephemera with the world. I always looked forward to new entries and appreciate all the time and effort put into this amazing website.
    Thanks!

    1. Thanks for noticing. Life is OK but in transition for me and blogging has dropped in priority. A planned publication had been cancelled because of COVID and I need to have the leisure to scan new material. I hope to be back in July.

  2. I'm glad that the blog is continuing. Good luck with everything you have going on at the moment. I have a couple of space-related pop-up books from the 1950's through the early 1970s that might be of interest. I can photograph these for you if you are interested but because of the nature of pop-up books, I can't scan the artwork in the same manner as you do.

Let me know if these might be of interest. I can send some photos at your e-mail address above to show what I've got in my collection.

    Thanks!

  3. I'll send you some photos as soon as I have a decent setup where I can photograph the books in a way that looks somewhat professional. Again, all the best while you take your break and look forward to new entries when you resume over the summer.
