Space Stations (1962)

August is Space Station month! Here is the start of a set of books imagining what a world of space stations might be like. I will try to share some of my favorite books illustrating how we thought a space station would fit into our space future.

Bergaust, Erik. Space Stations. New York: G. P. Putnam’s Sons. (48 p.) 1962.

  1. one reason for space stations was so that someone would be on the satellite to change the vacuum
tubes, on which all high power electronics was based.
