Journey to Moon Village (1963)

Journey to a Moon Village is another of the Christian children's space books I have found.  I sure there were not a lot of these but they are interesting in bring together space age excitement and Christian values.

Pyle, Pacheco. Journey to moon village.  Springfield, MO : Gospel Pub. House, 1963. (60 p.) 19 cm, 1963.

The story is about how a boy discovers a friendly preacher and his message while they take care of the bad guy : "Dirty Curtis."

Kleiner Kosmonaut (1976)

So I am going to share a few more fictional children's books through April.  This one was brought to my attention by a friend and I really like it. Kleiner Kosmonaut (Little Cosmonaut) is a short board book about a Cosmonaut published in Berlin

Nerger, Erika and Elsbeth Friemert. Kleiner Kosmonaut. Halle Postreiter-Verlag, VEB. (12 p.) 16 x 22 cm. 1976.

The images came out a little small but "click" on them to appreciate this charming little book.

Russian Popular Science Magazine (1973)

To celebrate Yuri's (Gagarin) Night (April 12, 1961) here is an interesting space-related issue of a Russian popular youth science magazine.  It tried to compare the Russian visions of space flight in the 50s and 60s with that of 1973.

The title of the magazine is roughly: ТЕХНИКА МОЛОДЕЖИ  = YOUTH TECHNOLOGY  Issue 4, 1973

 SPACE WALKING

 SPACE STATIONS
 MOON PROBES

 WORKING IN ORBIT
BURAN SHUTTLE (Well Not Really), JUST A VISION OF FUTURE SPACE SHUTTLES
