Searching In Science (1965)

To continue with my post from last week, Searching in Science was another science textbook that also issued booklets of content. These were more astronomy than manned space flight but also had some very nice illustrations.

The Moon

The Milky Way and The Universe

Exploring the Universe

Explaining "time dilation" at sub-light speeds

Distances in Space

Looking Into Science (1965)

Here is a re-post, with new scans, of one of my most popular series of books. There was a 1965 textbook for children call Looking Into Science. They reused the contents in a series of booklets that I would like to share with you. There were a large number of these booklets "extracted" from the classroom text but these are the most space oriented.

Rockets

Earth Satellites

Exploring Space

I See The Earth! (1968)

I See The Earth! was a young adult/adult book about what technology would be like in the future. It included exploring and farming the ocean, monorails, huge cities and space exploration. The illustration in the margins are small but I rather enjoyed the space flight ones.

Lyapunov, B. I see the earth! Moscow. 20 cm., 112 p. paperback. 1968.

Moon Fleet Log Book (1966)

The Moon Fleet Log Book was a book distributed by Wall's Ice Cream to collect space cards that came with the ice cream. There were spaces for 24 cards. This book was incomplete but still worth sharing with you.
