To continue the exploration of this amazing book. I find some of these illustrations much more evoking of science fiction. For example these oversized space vehicles.
The book does a lot to show the details of moon exploration vehicles. This one in particular is truly "screensaver" worthy.
The book also shows many details of a moon base, especially as a platform for further exploration of the solar system.
I do not understand why they choose to have the rocket launch at an angle. Perhaps one of you has an idea.
I suggest this incredible ship may be for a Mars expedition. I can think of no other reason why they are carrying a "winged" plane with them.
See you in part 3 of this post.
I don't think that the rocket is supposed to take off in an angle. It seems more like it is falling apart because of an accident.
ReplyDeleteThere is even a small human figure that seems to be running for cover.
And the next picture seems to be of 2 cosmonauts helping an injured one.
Those vehicles on the pictures are supposedly nuclear-powered, which is mentioned on the "screensaver-worthy" picture.
ReplyDeleteDiego is right. The first picture looks like a meteor shower is occurring. The second is the aftermath showing the damage to the rocket and it's tower. Note the tear just below the top fins of the rocket.
